GlucoBee — Privacy Policy
GlucoBee Diabetes & sugar tracker

Privacy Policy

Effective 11 August 2026  ·  Applies to the GlucoBee mobile app (com.glucobee)

GlucoBee keeps your health information on your phone — there is no account, no server, and nothing about your health is sent to us or anyone else.

No account needed. You never sign up or log in. Stored on-device and encrypted at rest. No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs. You control sharing. Exports only happen when you tap.

01 The short version

GlucoBee is a personal tool for logging blood-glucose readings, medication, meals, and lab results. Everything you enter is saved in an encrypted database on your device only. GlucoBee has no user accounts and no backend service, so your health data is never uploaded, sold, or shared. The rest of this policy explains the details.

02 Who this policy is from

GlucoBee ("GlucoBee", "the app", "we") is an independently developed application. If you have any question about privacy or your data, contact us at rezaul.bd77@gmail.com.

03 What information GlucoBee stores

You choose what to enter. Depending on how you use the app, GlucoBee may store the following locally on your device:

  • Glucose readings — values, date/time, and the context you tag (e.g. fasting, post-meal), plus any imported CGM data you add.
  • Medication & insulin — names, dosages, schedules, and which doses you mark as taken.
  • Meals & carbs — food notes, carb estimates, and any meal photos you take.
  • Lab results & notes — values such as A1c, and free-text notes you write for yourself or a doctor visit.
  • Profile details — a display name, diabetes type, and target range. You may create additional family profiles; that information is entered and managed entirely by you.
  • App settings — units, language, reminders, and accessibility preferences.

GlucoBee does not ask for and does not collect your real name, email, phone number, precise location, or any government or financial identifiers.

04 Where your data lives

Location
On your device, inside the app's private storage.
Encryption
The local database is encrypted at rest.
Cloud backup
None by default. GlucoBee has no server and does not sync to one.
Photos
Meal photos you capture are stored with the app's data on your device.

If you have Android system backup enabled, your device's operating system may include app data in your personal backups. That is controlled by your Android settings, not by GlucoBee.

05 What we do not do

  • We do not transmit your health data to us or to any third party.
  • We do not use advertising, ad networks, or ad identifiers.
  • We do not include third-party analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.
  • We do not create a profile of you for marketing.

06 Permissions the app requests

GlucoBee only asks for permissions tied to features you use:

Camera
Optional — to take a meal photo. Used only when you choose to add one.
Notifications
Optional — to show the testing and medication reminders you set. Delivered locally on your device.
Vibration
To provide gentle feedback with a reminder.
Internet
Included as a standard Android requirement, but not used to send your health data anywhere.

07 Exporting and sharing — always your choice

GlucoBee can generate a doctor report (PDF) or a CSV export of your data. These are created only when you tap to make them, and are handed to your device's own share sheet so you decide where they go — for example your email, a messaging app, or a file. GlucoBee does not choose a destination for you and does not keep a copy anywhere off your device.

08 Family profiles

GlucoBee lets you keep separate profiles — for example for a family member you help care for. All of that information is entered and controlled by you and stays on your device under the same protections as your own data. Please only add another person's health information if you are responsible for their care and it is appropriate for you to do so.

09 Keeping and deleting your data

  • You can edit or delete any reading, medication, meal, lab result, note, or profile at any time inside the app.
  • Deleting a profile removes its associated data from the app.
  • Uninstalling GlucoBee removes the app and its locally stored data from your device.

Because the data is on your device and not on a server, deletion is immediate and under your control — there is no copy for us to delete.

10 Children's privacy

GlucoBee is a general health-tracking tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Where an adult uses GlucoBee to track a child's readings within a family profile, that information is entered and managed by the responsible adult and stays on their device.

11 Security

Your data is stored in the app's private, encrypted local storage. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so we also recommend protecting your device with a screen lock and keeping your operating system up to date. Because GlucoBee does not transmit your health data, it is not exposed in transit to our servers — there are none.

12 Not medical advice

GlucoBee is a logging and tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose conditions or provide medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about medication, diet, or treatment.

13 Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top and, where the change is significant, note it within the app. Continuing to use GlucoBee after an update means you accept the revised policy.
